Method

  1. Beat eggs and sugar with an electric mixer for 8-10 minutes — should be pale and very fluffy.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
  3. Fold the dry ingredients gently into the egg mixture.
  4. Stir in melted butter and vanilla.
  5. Grease the kueh bahulu molds with butter. Spoon batter into each mold.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 15-18 minutes until deeply golden and a skewer comes out clean. Cool. Eat with tea.
